My screen turns pink every once and a while. Does that mean my video card is going bad or is it my monitor? thanks.

When you degauss the monitor, does it go away?

My personal guess is that it could be a combination of the two. I would lean more towards the monitor going bad because I don't know if I Video card would cause a PSOD(Pink Screen of Death)

If that works, then make sure you don't have any speakers or anything magnetic around the monitor.

Generaly, speakers on either side of the monitor will do this.

Hi,

Just a hinch, DirectX. Saw that before on Win2K en Win95.

And for the gay monitor, so what? Let that monitor (like U should with people) have his/her sexual prefferences. It doesn't mind you hetro either!

Now I couldn't resist

Cheers,

Le Cactus

well it doesn't turn pink anymore, if i leave it on for a while with or without the screensaver the screen turns black. I move the mouse but it never returns to the desktop, i cant even see the mouse pointer. Yes the monitor is on too. So I think it is the video card.
