It has been over two years since we first reviewed the P180 (
http://www.extremetech.com/article2/...1833165,00.asp) from Antec, their then-new top-of-the-line enthusiast PC case. It was designed to solve the big problems of the time: With really hot CPUs and loud graphics cards, enthusiasts wanted a solid case with better air flow that served to dampen noise as much as possible.
Power efficiency is all the rage these days, and even the enthusiast community is backing away (somewhat) from huge PCs with high-RPM fans and noisy graphics cards. The emphasis now is on performance in a "cool and quiet" environment, and PC builders are increasingly turning to the Micro ATX form factor to build smaller, quieter, more energy-efficient PCs.
