Microsoft determined to offload Xbox HD DVD Player add-on
Thanks to OSNN's American Zombie, he spotted over at the Xbox.com website that Microsoft have opted to drop their HD DVD add-on drives for the Xbox 360 significantly to just $49.99. Thats a significant drop from the last time, when it was reduced by $20 to $179, just 7 months ago.

Anyone who wants to own a piece of nostalgic history (do you know anyone that still has a "betamax" video cassette player?) can now do so for a measly price. Maybe it's worth picking this up along with a few of the latest cheap HD-DVD films for a few cheap rainy nights in.

Of course it could be just a cool looking paperweight, because thats where it's destined to end up.
