Hi, I'm running XP-prosp1 on a small network sharing cable internet. My friend has the same setup at his house. Couple of computers on a network sharing cable internet. We're botn using Linksys routers (mine's a PNA, his is wireless) both xpsp1 machines can use messenger, we can chat but not do the Remote assist. Both have remote assist activated in the system properties. Anyone have luck with remote assist/desktop with xp machines on seperate networks?
HELP

Have you configured your router to 'route' the traffic for 'remote assistance'. I suspect that the port that this works over is being blocked ?
