While the mouse may have been the biggest invention in the history of the personal computer, enabling the GUI to rise to a whole new level, I'm still a big fan of the keyboard. I use keyboard shortcuts whenever possible and couldn't live without programs like Launchy (
http://www.launchy.net/) and Texter (
http://lifehacker.com/software/texte...ws-238306.php). Properly used, the keyboard improves your efficiency many times; executing a command is much easier when you just have to use a few keystrokes versus moving the mouse to find something to click.
