I have been using WinXP Corporate version (I think Devils Own - how does one confirm this?) so far but will be formatting the hard disk and installing fresh and since I now have the SuperWXP CD I was wondering if I should install the XP Pro Retail version. In the past I have read comments to the effect that the Retail version runs smoother than the Corporate (Devils Own) version. So what do you guys think I should do. Go with the Retail or Corporate version?
All opinions appreciated.
Thanks
PS: I have succesfully been able to install SP1 over my current Corporate version installation. I did change the Key from the original 'FCKGW....' one.

if you do not have a lagit copy of xp Pro i would Not recommend you using that. reason being, after SP1 installation, it will be ver very tricky to activate xpPro, where as you do not need to activate xpCorp with a generated key.

if you have a legit copy of corp then use it. We don't discuss using illegal versions of software here.

Thanks for the feedback but can someone answer the question whether there is any difference in performance or stability between the two.

If that were true, then a Corp key would make Pro install as Corp. Doesn't work that way...there are a dozen or so files that are different between Corp & Pro.

@ Sanjay :
If you have a legit version of Corp, use that one.
Especially if you change your hardware setup often. This way you dont have to reactivate
your Windows all the time, as you have to do with Pro.
@ ateizzynuff :
You are right, there are some files that differs, and they all are related to the WPA.
But all the "functional" files, are the same so in real life, you wont notice any difference,
except the activation/re-activations.
