Keep your account size under the 2MB storage limit. Inboxes have a way of filling up fast, so please delete unwanted messages. If you go over the limit, the Hotmail Janitor will randomly delete messages until your account is back under the 2MB limit.

So in other words, they will let lots of spam through, and send you lots of stupid emails to fill your hotmail account.... and the stuff you dont want to loose will get deleted.

Thanks Microsoft you bunch of $#^*&%$#@@!!!!!

LOL - I totally agree and am moving off of hotmail to another provider called myrealbox.com that another member turned me on to here....forgot who it was or I would give em props - 10mb, no spam and pop/imap access

All hotmail does now is flood me with spam

Btw- You'd be surprised at how many fall victim to M$ tactics and sign up for the bigger limit mailboxes - 3 in my office alone and that's a VERY small slice of the general population paying for something that they can get for free

www.GMX.net is another nice freebie with pop/smtp access. Only problem is that when accessing mail from the website, you see pr0n ads...using an email client is nice and quite though and has been reliable for me as yet.

Ive been watching Hotmail gradually turn the screw over the past year which is why I am now using my Lycos account for the important stuff

you get 15mb storage, spam filter and blocking are now being introduced.

Yet another reason why microshite wont ever get another penny out of me h34r:" class="inlineimg" />

Hey I am now a Gold member

i went over to myrealbox and got to the signup page and stopped when it said i had to pay 10 dollars for any breeches to the TOS, such as using the address as a dropbox for spam or using it to send spam. it even got so vague as to say i would be charged for any "fraudulent activity".

what defines fraudulent activity? whos to say my inbox is being used to divert spam? what defines spam? it was just way too sketchy and general for me to sign up. last thing i want is to be financially punished for the terms they see fit.
