DFI Infinity P35 Blood-Iron Overclocking Test @ Madshrimps
*Source: Madshrimps (http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=get...&articID=611)*
____________
Intel launched their P35 chipset more than 3 months ago now. I remember when the P965 launched last year; all motherboard manufacturers were rushing to release their products. From the beginning, Gigabyte’s 965-DS3 priced around USD$160 made an excellent deal, no matter the overclock or extra’s, it was the first on the market and Gigabyte did wonderful business. Later on DFI released their P965 board which was not bad at all in the overclock department, but couldn’t distinguish itself enough to warrant the higher $180 asking price.

Today we are pretty much in the same situation, prices for the P35 are coming down, and obtaining an entry level performance board is a reality. DFI first launched their high end LANParty UT P35-T2R series board, it uses custom designed heat pipe for north bridge cooling and features a ton of overclocking options, but with all these extra’s comes a higher asking price, making the board more expensive than similar products from Asus, MSI, Gigabyte and others.

DFI budget series has carried the Infinity tag for a long time now, and they are not abandoning it now, the board tested today is the DFI Infinity Blood-Iron P35-T2RL, what a mouthful!
