US online spending climbs 19 percent in recent quarter

An industry tracking firm reported Monday that US online spending climbed 19 percent in the recent quarter and is on pace to break the 200-billion-dollar mark by year's end.

Approximately 47.5 billion dollars were spent on "e-commerce" in the United States during the fiscal quarter ending June 30, 2007, according to comScore.
