Nvidia to launch three MCP 78-based chipsets in November

Nvidia schedules to launch three MCP 78-based chipsets, MCP 78U, S and D in November of this year. The MCP 78U and S are both IGP (integrated graphics processor) chipsets, while the MCP 78D does not support integrated graphics, according to sources from motherboard makers.

The MCP 78U and S chipsets will support DirectX 10 and PureVideo GEN2 technology. The PureVideo GEN2 will feature a BSP decoding engine and HDCP. Additionally, Nvidia's Hybrid SLI technology will also be supported, noted the sources.
