Does anyone know how to get microsofts's client for netware off of the Xp pro CD so I can use it on an Xp home installation?

I know I can use Novell's client but I want to try the microsoft version too.

hmmmmm, i'm not sure where it would be on the cd, you may be able to just go to your nic's properties, install, protocol, have disk, go to the xp pro cd and just look and see what you can find, that would be my best guess, as long as you can find the right INF there is no reason why it shouldn't install

No luck. I have a feeling Microsoft designed their client to only work with Xp pro.

It all depends on what type of Novell connectivity you want: if you want a basic connection to a NetWare 3.2, or earlier LAN, the MS client will suffice; if you want to connect to a later NetWare LAN employing NDS and printer Services you'll need the Novell client - current flavour: 4.83 SP2.

As neither client interferes with, or require a Windows domain structure you should be able to install it underr XP Home.

I can't find it on the Xp pro CD and it refuses to find itself when the target OS is Xp home.
