When I installed XP SP1 from Windows Update(Express) I got a message during install to overwrite third party program that involved boot up. I told to override files. I installed the XP SP1 update. Worked OK(think little slower). I changed the Ntoskrnl(the boot up face) and when I restarted from safe mode I saw the new boot up screen and the a quick BSD and restarted. It kept restarting over and over. I had to use GoBack to start before the install. Anyone else been successful in changing the boot up screen? Is the SP1 update really worth the install? Help appreciated, thanks
