I happen to like the desktop version being displayed and set it to on. But when I installed XP Sp1 it gives me this long ass string

Build 2600.xpsp1.xxxxxx-xxxx (Service Pack 1)

When I installed service packs in Win2k it didn't do that, is there a way to remove all the extra crap or is that something that just stays?
