MSN Messenger

I have installed the 5.0.0515 version and would now like to get rid of me old version (4.*) as it keeps loading up when i go into outlook express and use the new version (5) as i did my old. Any way?

Open: C:\WINNT\inf\sysoc.inf

see: com=comsetup.dll,OcEntry,comnt5.inf,hide,7

delete "hide" leave the commas do that for each one

you may wish to skip these though: u dont need to fuck with these thats why

msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,hide,7

TabletPC=tabletoc.dll,TabletSetupProc,Tabletpc.inf ,HIDE,7

Freestyle=medctroc.dll,MedCtrOCISetupProc,medctroc .inf,HIDE,7

netfx=netfxocm.dll,UrtOcmProc,netfxocm.inf,HIDE,7

now run add/remove programs and you can uninstall messeger now

later

Thanks for the reply ansd instructions, 1 more q how can i get it to load when outlook express loads like messenger does at the moment?

Messenger is not completely removed . Only part of it . Anyone know how to uninstall all of it?

well if u want to remove windows all the way then do this:

back up your C:\WINNT\inf\sysoc.inf file

and back up C:\WINNT\inf\INF\msmsgs.inf,

back it up damn it or u might get fucked

in run type in:

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Windows Messenger is gone forever

settings do not matter now becuase all the files are gone even from system files
