Will PCIe 2.0-compliant products be out in time for Christmas? That's the plan, according to the special interest group that oversees the spec.
On Monday, during a press and analyst briefing in San Jose, the PCI-SIG said that 2.0-compliant products and applications are on target to launch this December. In fact, the group has already instituted a new compliance program and will hold workshops from now until to early December for developers, according to Al Yanes, chairman of the PCI Special Interest Group and its president.
