On the sideline of the official launch of the new Intel Centrino platform (Santa Rosa), sources at some Taiwan notebook OEMs commented that they are being exposed to the threat of eroding profits amid order competition.

Intel introduced Santa Rosa platforms to the Taiwan market on May 9, during which executives from leading notebook vendors and OEMs including Acer, Asustek Computer, Hewlett-Packard (HP), Gigabyte Technology, and Micro-Star International (MSI), all made appearances.
