Europe off course on satellite navigation

*Source: IHT (http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/05/..._______BERLIN: The European Commission is expected to announce Thursday that it will scrap plans to build a satellite navigation system in partnership with private industry after the consortium chosen for the most ambitious European technology project became mired in disputes about funding, jobs and the management structure, officials said Wednesday.
