She canne take any more captain
THE US National Security Agency's computer outfit in Baltimore is burning up so much electricity, officials fear it could brown out its entire operation.
The NSA has a huge eavesdropping outfit at its 350-acre Fort Meade headquarters and it is sucking up more juice than it should. Apparently the problem is so bad that NSA is unable to install some new gear for fear of blowing out the electrical infrastructure.
The 'best' that could happen is that there could be outages and power surges at the Fort Meade headquarters. The worst case scenario is that the agency could be shutdown.
According to the Baltimore Sun, NSA officials "claim they will not be able to operate more than a month or two longer unless something is done".
Apparently the problem is worse when it gets a little hot in Baltimore and the spooks have to crank the air conditioning up. More
