Do You Use An Air Purifier?
I've been using them for years and along with passing on to my friends what I know and have learned over the years, I'd like to know how many of you already use one.

I can't talk enough about how BIG of a difference having air purifiers in our house makes. If your interested, please read on...

Many air purifier companies change models & filters all the time. By doing so, you often can only get a replacement filter for your unit by ordering one directly from the manufacture for a high cost plus S&H fees. For the last 5+ years I've been using Holmes brand and love it! I have 5 of the older style models and recently just bought a new and more modern model HAP2400. Yes the new model uses the same filter as the old model. The unit new from WalMart costs around $30 and includes the HEPA filter. Replacement HEPA filters are also found at WalMart and can be bought for between $11 and $15. To save money here's a tip:

The unit comes with a plastic mesh on the cover to catch big stuff like hair, but I remove that. I use Swifter dry dust wipes or the WalMart brand Grime Boss Dusting cloth since they work as good as Swifter but are half the price. I leave it folded length ways and place it over the front of the HEPA filter while the unit is on. By doing this, after two weeks you can see the white dust cloth get dirty and I simply remove it and replace it with a new one. I keep doing this untill I see the backside/white of the units HEPA filter turn brownish from dust and dirt.

Hope I helped just 1 person out there.

The Girlfriend works at The Sharper Image and she has Asthma. We have several of the Ionic Breeze Air Purifiers, I know they are expensive, but they work great.
