you would need at least a DVD reader , a cdrom drive wont read it.

i've been trying to tell my friend that a cdrom drive won't read a dvd, but he doesn't believe me because he thinks he stuck in a dvd and it started playing. i told him that i didn't think it was possible.

The odd thing is....James says it is possible. However, I have not seen James online in a while. He said he was moving, so hopefully he comes back soon and sheds some light on this.

I'd say that it was more likeley that he had a VCD , putting one of them in the CD drive can autoplay if configured to do so.

yeah there is no way that a regular cd-rom drive could read a DVD. they must of had a VCD or something.
