Seagate Leaks Details on 750GB Barracuda
Seagate "accidentally" posted a PDF document on their website with all the juicy details of their next high capacity hard drive. Seagate will soon be releasing their new 750GB Barracuda 7200.10 hard drive. Wipe the drool off of your faces. Yes, I said 750GB. This new drive will use 7200RPM spindles and utilize the new perpendicular storage technology.So far, Seagate is showing two different 750GB hard drive models on their website. They are ST3750640A (PATA) and ST3750640SA (SATA). Although no disk cache information has been released, it is speculated that both drives will carry a 16MB cache size.
