Hi,

Presently running XP SP1 v1097.

I seem to get sudden Reboots on 2 PC's after installing SP1, screen goes black, the reboots, no prior warning.

Un-install SP1 and seems OK, problem is that it's intermitent, I can duplicate so I don't know what the problem is.

Is this happening to anyone else???

No it has not happened to me...all seems fine. Iwould uncheck " reboot on error" so you will be able to see what the error is related to.

Open System in Control Panel.
On the Advanced tab, under Startup and Recovery, click Settings.
Under System Failure, select the check boxes that correspond to the
actions you want Windows to perform if a Stop error occurs:
Write an event to the system log specifies that event information will be
recorded in the system log.
Send an administrative alert specifies that your system administrator will
be notified.
Automatically reboot specifies that Windows will automatically restart
your computer.

I had the same problem with 1086... installed and got a BSOD at reboot...tried everything to repair the system but ended up re-installing XP.... tried almost every other SPbuild and they all work fine...exept for 1086.... no idea why...

Had a buddy with this problem and it was his power supply that was starting to go south.

Hi,

Definitely related to SP1. After restoring previous XP Pro ghost imagefile prior to SP1, no-more sudden reboots.

As was said before, it's Beta and still BUGGY.
