Daft excuse to coppers of the day
A BLOKE arrested after a high speed car chase through three New York towns could not believe that the coppers had caught him.
Tyrone D. McMillian, 33, told the arresting officers that he had been playing a lot of Grand Theft Auto and NASCAR lately and he was sure that he would have given the coppers the slip.
Playstation nut McMillian should have realised that there was something wrong with the scenario he was playing. Not many GTA scenarios begin with the player driving his girlfriend's 11-year-old daughter and her 10-year-old cousin to cheerleading practice.
However, when he was stopped by police on a parole warrant it was game mode on. He said believed he would be stopped for violating parole on a drug conviction and he needed to get the kids back home because he knew he was going back to jail.
In game mode he tossed the two kids out of the car, slammed into police cruisers, injuring one copper.
The video game-trained driver was charged with three counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, one count of second-degree criminal mischief, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of resisting arrest. More
