Hello,

I need to disable the native power management in windows XP for installing a software for my UPS Backup

The installer try to disable it but it is not able to doing that.

Have you tried going into Power Options in Control Panel? Probably a stupid suggestion but just trying to give my input.

Bads, I don't have have such a wonderful equipment (and thus I'm no expert...) but I recall I once a long time ago disabled a UPS-service. It might be worth a try to have a look there.

Yes .unicorn,

I can disable the UPS service but I want to disable the power management because when I install the software for my UPS, the program try to disable the power management but it can't disable it.

The UPS is working but I have less option in the software. One tab is missing

Hi,

Have you tried installing the software in SafeMode, a lot of XP features aren't loaded, just a thought.

This is not working in safe mode too

Because the software cannot see the UPS who is connected to a USB port

Have you right clicked on My Computer/Manage/Services and Applications/Services and disabled the UPS service?

I have try this Richard,

And I always receive this message when I try to update the driver or obtain informations about the driver and each time I start the PC :
