Workers Told: Computers Could Blind You
Even though this is just a study and nothing is conclusive, everyone should remember to rest their eye perodically (every 20 min) when using a computer. This is especially applicable to people playing HL2 non-stop

SCIENTIFIC research has confirmed that extensive daily use of computers is bad for your eyesight and, in extreme cases, could make users go blind.

The results of new research have exposed a worrying trend that points to tens of thousands of people being in danger of developing glaucoma, a progressive eye disease which can lead to serious sight problems.

The warning is not good for people who are short-sighted - the investigation by doctors in Japan pinpointed this group as being at the highest risk.

Companies which ask their staff to use computers will also have to sit up and take notice. Glaucoma is the most common cause of irreversible blindness.

The results of the research led its authors to conclude: "Computer stress is reaching higher levels than have ever been experienced before. In the next decade, therefore, it might be important for public-health professionals to show more concern about myopia [short-sightedness] and visual field abnormalities in heavy computers users."
