I know.. I'm nervous.. but I want to get opinion before purchase.

I was also thinking of getting USB2.
However, isn't Firewire ment for highbandwidth items, like video, cd burners, etc.

Had both external Firewire and USB2 DVD burners, pioneer 107's, but didnt notice much difference to be honest. Still using an external Firewire 107 actually

I have an external drive.. I'd like to be able to have BOTH the USB2 & Firewire connected...

I've had problems with some of the USB 2 cards and SP2...

I purchased:

USB2 - Firewire combo PCI card & 10ft firewire cable this morning. Price ~ $30 (US)

Compared with stores like Bestbuy $45 for the card & $45 for the cable. So I feel like I got a better deal.

Ordered before 2pm, so I should get it this week.

Along with my paperback of Art of Deception ordered last week.
