I use CoolEdit and look at the track and also listen to see where the song breaks are and then manually crop out that portion into its own mp3 file. You can also look at the album online and see how long the tracks are supposed to be and then split them that way. Another program that you may look into is Nero's Wave Editor. Its not as good as CoolEdit, but they both do the same thing (even though CoolEdit has more options).

Don't make me close this thread guys!

This is NOT a warez site!

Now, about 'splitting' one large MP3.

1. AlbumWrap will only decode "albumwraps". It *is* freeware. Google "albumwrap"

2. MP3Direct Cut _http://www.mpesch3.de/ is also freeware. It has a 'search for silence' option that you need to 'tweak' for each large MP3 but once you get the hang of it, it's actually faster than a lot of professional Wave editors.

3. If the above two options don't work for you, you'll need a wave editor. Some CD burning software comes with basic versions that can be quite useful. If you still can't split your MP3 you're going to need a PROFESSIONAL wave editor such as Wavelab, Soundforge, Cool Edit etc.

But, these are NOT free! ANYBODY who offers CRACKS, SERIALS, or PATCHES to these applications is subject to an IMMEDIATE BAN from BetaOne! Please read our rules!

Thank you.

}----:)

To split mp3.. I use EAC with a cue sheet. Its great to capture tape cassette recordings and then split the tracks so to have a track listing on a CDDA, except I need to master it.. the last time I did that the sound was DEeeeeePPerrrrr.. then on the original. haah
