I have had 3 op systems on my machine for years now win98 win2k and xp.
I have beta tested win2k and xp. used win2k as my default system thrown every
piece of software under the sun at it and it still survives and works very well,
But now i have tried to make xp my default op system given it sp1 and all updates,
what a load of poh poh this is now i can`t do this, and that, will not show web pages properly, will not open an office files correctly, programs wont open, boxes comming at me from left and right and its a lot slower than win2k.
XP worked well but sp1 and all the security updates seem to make it a very bad and not stabile op system, god knows what will happen when sp2 comes out.
Another thought these updates dont cure any thing, they just remove the functionallity from the op system making it worse.
So byby iam going back to good old NT5 windows 2000 the best yet from MS.
