I've been almost a week trying to get rid of this program off my hard drive...(freedos0.82)...I've wiped the disc 3 times....and pieces of it are still there...wanting to put DOS 6.00 on here....but realized this might be a tougher job than I thought....any suggestions...?
I've tried everything I know of....presently I have 1 active partition FAT 16...and have not a clue as to what I need to get rid of this program....any ideas would be greatly appreciated....
Thanks.....Bill G.

What symptoms do you get?

Is it the DOS setup that complains about something? What DOS version do you have there - is it one for a clean install (I vaguely remember something about a splash screen somewhere saying it is for a computer with no OS at all installed), or is it an update version (f eks intended for use in a situation where MS assumes you are upgrading from DOS 5x)?

And, you really are Bill G?

Find the correct utility for your specfic harddrive and write zeros and ones to it. That will most times get rid of anything.

Thanks

Did not mean to run him/her away. Before you wrote ones and zeros to the drive be sure you use the correct utility to do that or the drive may not like the result.

Thanks
