Hi,

Sorry for cross-posting, but thought this was a more appropriate place for this topic.

I'm no EXPERT, but know a bit about mIRC.

If it's needed, I can do a tutorial similar to the one I did on Mt. Rainier.

I would like to have a IRC tutor. Is that also a mIRC tutor? I guess I need something very basic, from basic all the way up to advanced. The format isn't that important to me, but if you make a really good thing it might be nice to be able to print it.
This FAQ section is supposed to to contain concentrated knowledge and an IRC-tutor should really fit. I hope security issues, downloading techniques and such stuff will be covered.

tia,

Hi,

Yeh, iRC is basically the same as mIRC.
Quote:
What is IRC?

Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is one of the most popular and most interactive services on the Internet. Sure, the Web is nice for finding info and E-mail beats snailmail hands down, but when you've been wondering 'where the others are?', then IRC is what you're looking for.
Quote:
What is mIRC?

mIRC is a shareware IRC client for Windows. It is developed and copyrighted by Khaled Mardam-Bey. mIRC is a highly configurable IRC client with all the goodies other clients on UNIX, Macintosh and even on windows offer, combined with a *nice* and clean user interface. mIRC offers full color text lines, DCC File Send and Get capabilities, programmable aliases, a remote commands and events handler, place sensitive popup menu's, a great Switchbar, World Wide Web and sound support, and... a lot more. mIRC is shareware but not crippled in any way...
Really, just thing of mIRC as the GUI/Interface for IRC.

There are a bunch of IRC & mIRC tutorials out there.

The basic difference between those and mine are:

1. Mine have a bunch of graphics/images
2. Really designed for almost the Dummies

Why, because I'm no expert myself, I generally learn more about the subject as I go. This is infact a key importance why my tutes have been accepted so well, because they have been written by a Dummy who just has happened to learn abit more during the process

I'll get started over the next few days and post a Preview Link to see what you think.

What I'm really after is promoting mIRC further because I reckon it's the best place to d/l moviez/software etc. as long as you have reliable channels and servers.

If people understand mIRC better, we can hopefully get a Forum dedicated to it with links to Moviez/Software etc. channels with Triggers posted.
