I have my PC set up with Win2K for a test. I have a HP612 connected to the Win2K box and I want a Win98 box to be able to print to it using TCP/IP on an Ethernet network. I have the printer shared, "EVERYONE" has permissions to it. I can connect to the Win2K box from the Win98 box to install the printer, but when trying to print a test page, "The printer is no longer available...".

I remember Win98 had a lot of problems connecting to a NT4/2000 machine, but I don't remember how to get around them.

Thanx in advance.

Fixed. The problem was the ancient NIC I was using on the Win98 box, a Andrew/AMD 10Base-T from 1993. I changed it to a new Netgear 100Base-T card.
