WEB SITE AMD Zone reports that AMD is close to completing a chip that can be used for Internet access appliances about the size of a packet of tabs.
It quotes local newspaper The Statesman as saying Hector Ruiz revealed the existence of the technology, codenamed "Emma", earlier in the week.
In fact, the "Emma" idea has been around for a while, but we suppose the fact it will be released soon is the real news.
If an appliance is connected to a keyboard and a screen it could allow Internet access for less than $200, according to the report.
