MUSIC STUDIOS worried about illegal copying of their videos are being given hope by the development of software to halt illegal DVD copying software.
That's according to a report in today's Nihon Keizai Shimbun, which claims that Visionware has created the program.

The report said that Visionware looked at 30 copying programs which use an unlock key to allow copying, and has hit on a method to stop these from working.

While it won't work on DVDs with encryption methods which have already been broken, Visionware said it would be easy to add the tech, and upgrades to it, when and as required.
