In the winXP task manager, under Process tab there are about 50+ things running. I am sure they are all using up memory.

Is ther a list of which ones are safe to shut down without causing any problems???

Do most people let all these run in the background all time, or do you shut some down???
Some of these must be useless.
If some are shut down, will that speed up the booting process????

Would like some opinions???

thanks
