Hi,
I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place, I wasn't too sure where to start the topic.
Last night I tried to install the Norton SystemWorks. I thought it was going smoothly when I noticed, it was taking longer than usual and a few errors popped up along the way. Thinking nothing of it, I just waited for it to finish. After an hour, it wasn't done and I got fed up. I exited the installation and tried to get the Anti-Virus to run. Nonetheless, it didn't run. I found the folders, only two; Anti-Virus and Ghost and tried deleting them, that didn't work. I have looked time and time again in the control panel for removing the program but, it cannot be found. I am getting extremely frustrated and any help whatsoever will be extremely grateful. Thanks in advance.

Well first we need to make sure that the software you tried to install was legal. If it was and you know the problem is with the software can't the software company help you? Have you tried returning that CD to the store and getting a different copy? Did you have other programs running during the install? How many different times have your restarted your system and tried to reinstall again with all of your programs shutdown. Another thing, we need to know what version of NSW your trying to install. It would also help if you gave us your system specs which include your OS, memory, and chip & Mhz. If your copy is not a legal copy, you not only have the wrong section... but the wrong board. We don't deal with illegal software.
Looking forward to your reply.

My friend let me borrow her cd, and yes it is legal. It's the Norton System Works 2003, Professional edition. I had no program running while installing the cd and I had restarted my computer atleast 4 times last night.
I don't see the removal tool. Either that or I'm not looking in the right place.

What OS are you using and how long has it been since you did a new format?
Are you running any other AV software?

Here's the removal program from Symantec, simply extract it to your desktop and run the program.
The instructions for the removal of NSW, along with instructions for the use of SymClean, can be found here:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nsw.nsf/docid/2001101612274407
Hope this helps
