I've encountered parts within the game that were aweful. When there is a lot of action on the screen, the game lags big time.

I've been playing the game at 1024x768 with vertical sync on, everything else is default. Seems to get me by most of the time. A lot of people, from what I've been hearing, have been complaining about the way the game handles in action packed situations... You just have to fiddle around with the settings to see which best works for you.

I loaded it with daemon also and I gree that the game lags.

Yeap I get about 28fps average the entire game. I played for about an hour and just keep writing the fps average I noticed when playing.

Just an average over all. That's with No Vsync so that it would run at its max. And thats will all settings on high and 1024x768.

Highest fps that I noticed was only like 43fps.

But the lowest, that I saw a few times was like 8fps.

Yea and the game is ment to play at 30fps the entire game. Got pretty close to that.

But the game looks like shit compared to xbox. Why? Not sure. Even tried with quality drivers.

Yea that too. Looks worse then xbox when I have a better grahpics card and proccssor and memory and hard drive, etc.

Guessing because its optimised for directx9.0 grahpics cards which i dont have so i guess it just cant do everything.

However I did get the game to play a little smother and look a little better using:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe" ?use20

Yea hope the next update fixs some fps issues. Seem to be some. Like it got stuck going at 12fps for about 5mins before I quit and reload and played again yet the second time around at the same point i got like 23fps. Think it was the fourth or fifth level. The snow one out side with the tank.
