Internet Explorer 7 Beta 1 - First Impressions
Happy to see Tabbed Browsing is finally implemented. PNG Transparency too.
Some few things. http://www.csszengarden.com/ still renders badly. (try selecting a word, holding your mouse button down, move the mouse and you will end up selecting few paragraphs (or the whole page) at once)
File/Edit/etc menus are in the most inconventient place ever.
How menu is locked and cannot be moves is really annoying.
Currently it is like this:
- Back|Forward|Address|Search
- Tabs
- File|Edit Menus
I want it as - File|Edit Menus
- Back|Forward|Address|Search
- Tabs

Yes you can remove after install. Not under remove windows components though. Just normal add/remove appz. Make sure updates are enabled. Scroll to very button of window and its under windows xp updaters or whatever its called. Already uninstalled myself from main pc and just running in virtual pc for now.

Well that would be:
http://web.archive.org/web/200411270...ie6selecta.php
Well I never see this bug again thanks to Ad Muncher.
I use it to add javascript to every page:
if (window.createPopup && document.compatMode && document.compatMode=="CSS1Compat") { document.onreadystatechange = onresize = function fixIE6AbsPos() { if (!document.body) return; if (document.body.style.margin != "0px") document.body.style.margin = 0; onresize = null; document.body.style.height = 0; setTimeout(function(){ document.body.style.height = document.documentElement.scrollHeight+'px'; }, 1); setTimeout(function(){ onresize = fixIE6AbsPos; }, 100); } }

Thanks Will. I didn't know it was such a common problem. It doesn't happen to every webpage but for some like cssgarden.
Oh and try http://www.webstandards.org/act/acid2/test.html
Pretty tough one for all the browsers.
