So, who wants to download old Xbox 1 games on their Xbox 360 for 1200 (or so) MS points? Because come December 4th you will be able to do that and more! (Don't forget the rumored DivX support being added to the console as well)
Microsoft reportedly confirmed the news to the Official Xbox Magazine, and told OXM that the biggest new feature to be added was a service to let you download original Xbox games such as Halo and Fable. Games will reportedly cost 1200 MS points ($15 USD, GBP 10.20, EUR 13.96) and one would assume the service will work alot like the Xbox Live Arcade service does.
Right now the line up of games to be offered are: Halo, Fable, Indigo Prophecy, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex and Burnout 3.
Not much else is known about this service, as the story is literally just breaking now. Also revealed in today's news are (finally) plans for the downloadable movie service for Europe to (maybe) launch with the Fall dashboard update. North American users have had this service for quite awhile now in the Marketplace, but Europeans can finally get in on the action! Of course, you can only "rent" a movie and once you "open the wrapper" so to speak, the movie is only good for 24 hours. You can however keep the movie/video on your hard drive for two weeks.
