Hello people
I hope someone can help me here.

I'm trying to set up bulletproof server on one of my pc's on home Lan.
My cable connection is shared using a netgear rt314 router.

The server works perfectly well on the network, but when someone outside tries to connect thats when it starts to go wrong.
I see the user log in,then it says entering passive mode then disconnecting.
The user tells me he gets data connection socket error and times out.

I've set the server on port 1214 which did have Morpheous on and that was working fine, download/upload no problem so i dont think the router is the problem, but i aint sure.

Any ideas or advice would be welcome
TIA Gaz

Hi g_bro, have a read through some of the CrowDirt's Server Thread. Folks had similar problems as this, which where resolved by using a "Feature" in FlashFXP. If your "Connectors" use a similar approach, then your Site should work fine through the Firewall/Router.

unicorn is on a distinguished road
Check that the "port redirection"-function at the router is configuered to open and direct port 1214 and 1213 to the computer that runs the server.
Then ask the user trying to log on to retry to logon, toggling between the different options for PORT and PASV mode in the ftp-client.
Then get back here and some smarter may have more answers.
