How to Install Plus! for Windows XP in Windows Server 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;311410

SUMMARY
This article describes how to install Plus! for Windows XP on a computer that is running a member of the Windows Server 2003 family.

What the heck??? Do Microsoft also now think that Windows Server 2003 is practically Windows XP Professional Version 2003???

You asked why we need Fast User Switching in Server 2003? Now Microsoft has a knowledge based article on how to install Plus! DME in Server 2003. Why?

Answer that! (properly)

The article is interesting...

...But as I have never used Plus! for any version, could you tell me what it is for???

...And is it something freely available, or does it require purchase???

Hi FrogBait,

You have to purchase it. It is not free like PowerToys or Bonus Pack for Windows Media Player.

Why they have a KB about it? Prolly because people kept asking for it. But that doesn't explain why someone would wanna turn a server into a workstation.

...Maybe because the Server was originally designed to be a Workstation???...Like, maybe Windows XP SE???...

...Not being sarcastic, just voicing opinion...

Try NTSwitch on W2K3 and see what happens...

I´m someone and why not if it is a newer XP Pro (without patches, without SPx)? It is a tidy XP, I think.
I'm talking about the standar version.
