What's The Server Format

What is the correct format for entering a http address that has the server IP address, UserID, Password and port number all as one?

I know this a dumb question. I've even did it before, but I can't remember now.

nice utility..BUT how do I get a file from a ftp-server with help of " a url "

for example:ftp://anonymous:anonymous@hostnameort/filename

the file is in the root of the ftp and the server is Serv-U

Didn't the file work?
The extention is .exe. You don't need to rename the extention to .zip.

Oh do you mean it is better to zip it?

@KingCobra Thanks for asking that question and no it is not a dumb question if you don't know the answer. I have wondered before and never got time to ask or forgot about it.

@~*McoreD*~ That is a nice utility and looks simple to use, almost idiot proof. So that may just rule me out of being able to use it.
