Logging onto the board is so slow these days, is there any options I can turn off to speed up the process.

I visit the forums while I'm in work, for 15 - 20 mins at a time before anyone notices I,m not doing any work , but it takes me at least 5 mins to get to the log on stage.

Is there any reason for this?
