Technical Requirements
All avatars and signatures should be less than 150kB in file-size. In order to prevent page widening or unnecessary clutter, images in signatures should be limited to 600px width, and 200px height. Some exceptions to these rules may be allowed by the crew, providing the large size is necessary or justified by the content and does not vastly exceed these limits.

Use of animation
Animation is acceptable, providing the filesize limitations are not exceeded. Animation which is excessively distracting is not recommended, and crew members may remove avatar/sig images which they believe fall into this category. Animation should be used to enhance the humor or message, not to distract attention from posts or give members epileptic fits.

Images with sexual overtones
In order to ensure the forums remain family-friendly and work-safe, images portraying intimate/provocative behavior or nudity are not permitted.

In general all models used in user-posted images should be fully-clothed. Exceptions are allowed in cases where the overall tone of an image is not sexually provocative. For example, a model wearing a bikini is acceptable as a watermark background for an otherwise informational, insightful, or humorous image, whereas an image in which the sole emphasis is on the model would not be permitted.

Miscellaneous
Images which are unpleasant, obscene, or otherwise offensive are not permitted. It is impossible to list every possible type of image which could belong to this category, so this should be considered as a guideline rather than a strictly-defined rule. In cases of disputes or uncertainties, the crew have the final say on what is or isn't acceptable. If in doubt, PM a crew member and ask.

Please remember that unlike images posted as attachments in a specific thread, all users will be shown your avatar/sig every time they view a post made by yourself. For this reason it is important that once the humor/novelty of your images wears off, the images do not begin to cause an unnecessary distraction.
