Am I NUTS!?
don't answer that
After some long thought and self-compressed stress I've decided to install freeBSD on my old (p2 450) Linux machine. Right now, its running Linspire, and the mouse driver, or lack their of..

Sorta BIG learning curve for me.. I'll be posting in the linux/unix section in no time at all..

Basically.. I want to install mySQL, and play with database(s), learn by doing..

Going to burn the iso I fetched from the torrent tracker of freebsd.org.

Wish me luck.

Thanks.. I think I killed the monitor connection.. heheh...

Its an ol'p2 with a serial mouse and AT keyboard. The screen still works though.

I'm going to try debian, according to my brother, the previous owner of the box, that OS ran fine on it.. Hmmm...

good luck with the Tux
maybe Debian is not the best choice to give Linux a GO tho...
maybe Mandriva, or OpenSUse would be better choices
have fun
