folder options "details" question
I was curious if there is a registry setting that forces all folders viewing options to be on the "Details" setting. Basically what I want to do is anytime I open a folder i automatically want it to display in details mode. That includes viewing the contents of the folder from any program I run.
thanks

Hi Jarod, if I understand correctly, I think all you need to do is, 1. go to one folder, set it to Details, arrange by Type and do other modding. 2. go to Tools > Folder Options > View 3. Apple to all Folders.
Cheers,

Glad you were able to sort this issue out. I am curious to know if the Registry mode by War == the Folder Options settings change.

Well I thought it worked but then I installed paint shop pro 9.01 and the view when I open a file is still view, not details like I wanted. I rebooted the first time I used the registry fix, but I did not after I applied it a second time after I installed the program. i will report back when I reboot again. Maybe someone can point to the location in the registry where file options are and I can make a change that will force it to view everything by the details.
