I know alot of folks here use this software; I was wondering if you could share your settings here, as I always have problems getting decent download speeds..

is there other software for torrent grabbing that works better?

I have a 3 meg comcast cable connection, yet its rare for me to get over a 5 or6 k download speed..

Any help will be greatly appriiciated!

Thanks,

wase4711

For me, this is the best torrent downloader

I don't change any setting and I'm getting really good speed Over 100 kbs for some files

This depend on how many seeders are connected

Hi wase, if you ran the File > Configuration Wizard, you should be fine. That's pretty much everything.

Good Luck!

I use this DAILY. I don't know what sites you use, but some use different ports and sometimes some people need to forward ports in there router.
Alot of ISP's have also begun to restrict or banning default ports 6881-6999 so that could also be a question. It also depends on the seeder to leecher ratio. If I see something that is 50 seeders to 500 leechers i will wait awhile until it equals out or there are less leechers, this usually results in faster speeds.

Its a cool little toy, and it always updates itself too. I thought this was interesting (the updating function).

thanks, all for your suggestions..I guess the speed depends on lots of other things, besides your connection speed...
