I have a query regarding the latest release of "SuperW2K3_AIO_v3" from KY and it is with regards to the expected CRC validation.
OK, I already had downloaded v2 but was unsure on how to carry out KY's conversion instructions so, I managed to download v3 from another source.
After downloading it, I carried out a CRC check and it was VALID with a CRC of:
0x38CD5DF9
I the decided to have another go at following KY's instructions from v2 to v3 and this time I had no problems at all. *The ISO was created using CDIMAGE.EXE v2.47. *Both ISO's are identical in size but after carrying out a CRC check on the ISO that I had just created using KY's instructions, the CRC was VALID but the AutoCRC signature was:
0xECA4BF9B
Although both ISO's are VALID, I am a bit puzzled why they have different CRC signatures, so which one is correct?
I made a slight change in the Release Notes (SuperW2K3.HTM) and in 2 BMP Files before I recompile my v3, and I compiled it with an additional advanced option [-y5] which move the contents of the i386 folder to the front part of the CD. This made the difference in CRC.
In other word, both CRC's (yours and mine) are valid for their corresponding contents and compile commands used for the CDIMAGE, you do not need to reach the same CRC as mine!
