There were some errors, reported in the setuperr.log
Error:
Setup detected that the system file named [d:\windows\system32\winlogon.exe] is not signed properly
by Microsoft. This file could not be restored to the correct Microsoft version.
Use the SFC utility to verify the integrity of the file.

Was this an RTM version or one of the later beta build? This shouldn't happen with the RTM, obviously
