I happened to come across some rather important news today in the Mac RDC (remote desktop client) newsgroup: Apple has fixed the annoying problem, which wasn't letting dual-proc machines run RDC for more than several seconds without "unexpectedly crashing". The fix is to upgrade to OS 10.2.3... here's the annoucement:

Quote:

Apple Computer released Mac OS X version 10.2.3 to the public yesterday.
This new version of Mac OS X contains a fix for the issue that caused Mac
RDC to be unstable on dual-proc Macs.  With this update, Microsoft has
amended the system requirements for Mac RDC to be as follows:

For Macintosh computers with a single processor, RDC requires Mac OS X
version 10.1 or later.
For Macintosh computers with dual processors, RDC requires Mac OS X version
10.2.3 or later.

The update from Mac OS X 10.2 or later is available from Apple computer at
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=120164.

Thank you all for your patience.  If you continue to have difficulties with
Mac RDC after updating to Mac OS X 10.2.3, please don't hesitate to post
here.
