Well after a couple of weeks I finally found it.
I have been unable to connect to any FTP servers , well in fact I could connect
but would instantly be disconnected again. After finally getting frustrated to contact my ISP to see if I was being blocked there , they suggested the XP firewall , so I switched that off but still the problem persisted. Now I have been running BitDefender and Murphy Console since I started using XP , up until recently all worked well. I use Bulletproof and Flash FXP and both were previously configured to pass through. Anyway as it happens at some point it all stopped working and now I must disable the Murphy console to download with FTP programs, I have tried deleting the programs permissions and resetting them but it wont let me thru again. any Ideas ??
